Electrical Engineer, University of Brasília. Marcio Felix has a specialization in Petroleum Engineering from Petrobras University, MBA in Business Management from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a course in Partnership Management and Strategic Alliances from the European Institute of Business Administration - Insead, France. He has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Worked for Schlumberger Group (1981/1982) as a field engineer in well testing. Since 1983 he has worked at Petrobras, starting as an oil field engineer and then holding various managerial positions in the Exploration and Production (E&P) area, such as: General Manager of the E&P Operations Unit of Espírito Santo, the unit that grew the most in production and oil and gas reserves in Brazil during the first decade of 2000, and Executive Manager of International Technical Support.
He was Secretary of Economic Development of the State of Espírito Santo from 2010 to 2012, Secretary of Oil, Gas and Biofuels from July 2016 to March 2018 and returned to this position from January 2019. From April to December 2018, he was Executive Secretary of Mines and Energy. In 2019 he again held the position of Secretary of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, both cases assigned by Petrobras.
